Our Love Story
How we met
We met through a friend on a social platform in 2008, I think there was a post and people were leaving comments and there she was, stirring up dust...of course, I was curious to know who this feisty-sounding lady was, so I directed my comment to her and she was gracious and friendly in her response; we exchanged contact details and started a friendship that has spanned over 9 years.
She was in her final year of high school then while I was in Medical school, We stayed in touch even with our busy schedules. As time went on our communication decreased, we had our own different lives going, we only spoke two times in a year i.e. on our birthdays, we share the same birth month and we used that opportunity to catch up lol.
In May 2017, I took the first of many steps and asked her "to be mine” and she said her first of many “Yes”. It's been a very beautiful journey and we thank God for the beautiful friendship we share filled with so much love and God's blessings. Before I asked her to be mine I already knew she was going to be my wife.
The Proposal
We took a trip on Sept. 2017 to Europe, Our first Stop was in Paris and there I asked her to share the rest of my life with me. It was amazing because she always wanted to be proposed to at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
We had dinner at the Eiffel tower restaurant, I told her "how I am glad I brought her to her favorite place but I was sorry I couldn't fulfill the part of proposing to her as her ring was not ready yet" lol. As we chatted through the night, they brought the dessert accompanied with the ring, as I got on my knees to propose, while she bursted out laughing and of course she said yes. I am glad I made her dreams come through without her seeing any of it coming and we look forward enjoying this journey of a lifetime together.
